(1/4/2012) As a transgender woman, it causes issues when I refer to  myself as a “brony”. I would really love a more inclusive term.

Here’s a weird one. Why not “a fan of Friendship is Magic”? Or am I being too progressive?

((The probolem is that that’s awkward in a way that Brony isn’t.  Names work best as one or two syllables, and “a fan of Friendship is Magic can take too long ot say to use in normal conversation.))

“I like Friendship is Magic” is too long nowadays?

((It’s far harder to work into a conversation than Bronies, and sounds far more awkward.))
